School Preaching at Beverly Hills Primary

On March 28th, Beverly Hills Primary School in Doncaster East celebrated their Annual Harmony Day.
This year they not only invited us to participate but made our ‘Vedic India’ program the highlight of the day.
We ran 7 workshops simultaneously over four sessions. Workshops included henna art, garland making, traditional Indian wear, festivals and culture of India, Indian Music and dance, moral story and badge making and Indian cooking.

When lunch time came we had hot Kofta balls with sauce ready to serve as prasadam while Jaya Jaganatha Prabhu led an ecstatic Harinama. When some of the kids finished eating they joined in with the singing and dancing and everyone had a great time.

After the workshops had finished we split the whole school into two groups. One group was taken through a light yoga session, while the second group enjoyed an interactive Harinama. After 25 minutes the two groups switched.

The day was a great success; many kids showed their appreciation for the program by writing an article for their school newsletter. The school Principal thanked us saying: “this has been the best Harmony Day celebration, and I don’t think anything can beat this”.

Here are a few photos of the event.
